has anyone else assumed the 'her' is Nina, and the 'him' Dave - or is that just too obvious?
It does seem like it's about Dave and Nina. It can work for any similiar situation though, where you were getting along fine with someone until they betrayed you, or you realized how they weren't worth your time and then it's like you don't feel anything for them at all and don't even care cos' your better off without them in your life.

I really like this song but the lyrics are a little embarrassing sometimes. Like the 'I used to sing' bit. I don't know, I think they're a bit silly but maybe that's just me. Anyway, this is a really good angry song. Pretty straight forward meaning and, like most of you, I just assumed it was about Nina Gordon and Dave Grohl. Does anyone know what actually happened with them?
In a live version I have of this song at Fowlers in 2003 Louise says: "Who asked for Nina earlier? Who was that? It's cool I love Nina, I miss Nina. But Nina left my band. So, this song is about her."
