Seeing is believing but I don't want to know
Walk on through the wasteland, I just can't let go
Face down I just break down when I see you cry
All the time (sometimes)
Hold on, please (behind those grey and lonely eyes)
Hold on to me (unforgotten by time)
Tempt fate, release (reality is dawning)
escape...
Someone now is screaming as the flames fly high
Think now that we're lost here and we don't know why
Face down I just break down when I see you cry
All the time
Hold on, please (behind those grey and lovely eyes)
Hold on to me (unforgotten by time)
Tempt fate, release (reality is dawning)
escape (our spirit is awakening)
Hold on, please (and somewhere in the hurricane)
Hold on to me (hope is waiting)
Tempt fate, release (crying in the distance)
escape... (calling out your name)
Walk on through the wasteland, I just can't let go
Face down I just break down when I see you cry
All the time (sometimes)
Hold on to me (unforgotten by time)
Tempt fate, release (reality is dawning)
escape...
Think now that we're lost here and we don't know why
Face down I just break down when I see you cry
All the time
Hold on to me (unforgotten by time)
Tempt fate, release (reality is dawning)
escape (our spirit is awakening)
Hold on to me (hope is waiting)
Tempt fate, release (crying in the distance)
escape... (calling out your name)

another unbelievable song about love. these guys are the best band ever!!!!!!!!!
such a beautiful song! one of my favorites of theirs. i think maybe he's trying to "hold on" to a relationship that seems doomed, and even though it's a "wasteland" he "just can't let go". and to "tempt fate" is to go against what really should be. so he feels that even though it's fate to not be together he's willing to try and "hold on". "somewhere in the hurricane hope is waiting" i feel he's saying that the relationship ended up like a "hurricane" but he's willing to give it a second go and "release" the past as a way of forgiveness. i know theres much deeper tones as well and i might be completely wrong lol but this is a little of what i get from it...
I think this one as the others songs on A fine day to exit album were writing by Danny and Vincent Cavanagh My interpretation is: This one is the moment after the pressure.. a moment of calm.. someone help the main character of the album
