this song is about jealousy and paranoia. it doesn't have to mean that the girl is actually unfaithful... i think he's trying to reason with the fact that jealousy is destroying the love. i think "you're so pretty in white. pretty when you're faithful." is him reassuring himself how good it is when he isn't plagued by jealous worries. he's trying to combat his jealous nature. so i think inflatable means like a floatie. a lifesaver. they both were falling apart, but his love for her makes a lifesaver, for the both of them. hope will keep him afloat.

this song is so beautiful. It's one of bush's best love songs along with Clycerine.

I highly doubt this song is about love. It might seem like it, but the first time I ever heard it, the line "You're so pretty in white, pretty when you're faithful" stuck in my head and made me think more about a man who wants his woman to be faithful. It's more like a song where he comes to terms with the fact that he;s being used than a song about love. I really don't know for sure, but wouldn't the line "I've only just become inflatable for you" symbolize a toy that can be taken out and put back at will versus a loving relationship?

i didn't mean like "happy-perky" love. I mean yeah, i think that he loves this girl, but she puts him through a lot of crap. "i don't mind most of the time, but you push me so far inside.". It is a really good song, best on the album, no matter what it means. But thats just what it means to me.

This song is so amazing. To me, it seems like he is in love with this girl, but she treats him badly, and he is kind of confused about it. It's not every day you can find a guy that would stick by your side when you make a mistake. Even if it is something like cheating, or lying, Everyone makes mistakes.

this song made me cry the first time I heard it. I don't know if it was from the lyrics, the music, or the combination. I think its sort of about cheeting. He still loves her, but he wants her to stop cheeting. There is this pain in his voice that I can hear, that is what makes this song so so real.

i was watchin smallville awhile back, and durin the show, this song came on, and it hella made the scene so awesome, cuz the song is hella emotion, and you could just hear the emotion on his voice, and its a fricken bad ass song...i aint much of a bush fan, but this damn song....is a good song
