In this song, hes looking to her as his savior. He's in love with her and she is the only one that can take away his pain. It is a beautiful love song in my opinion because it shows the love a man has for his woman.

it means that she is the only thing that is keeping him alive....if it wasn't for her love, then he would perish off the face of the earth and no one would notice....a rock love song....it's wonderful and brings tears to my eyes each time i hear it....it's how i think of my fiance :)

I love this song...theres a girl who I can safely say is my "Angel"...largely due to distance, we aren't together...but I agree with "snuggleboo" that she is one of the very few things keeping me alive...by far one of the best classic rock songs ever...

My all-time favorite song. Tyler has an amazing voice and belts this song out. Very well put together lyrics. There's something special about Aerosmith that seperates them from the rest of rock-nation. Too bad they don't get the respect they deserve.

The song has so much feeling and is very powerful, although not hugely known it is a classic that always puts a lump in my throat. (l)

Aerosmith is my favorite band of all time, and this song is my favorite Aerosmith song of all time. I don't think there is an Aerosmith song I have never heard, and "Angel" always remains my favorite.
