Get The Lead Out Lyrics
Do you like good boogie
Like a real boogie woogie
Hear the juke box singin'
A get the dance hall swingin'
A won't you grab my shaker
I got to meet your maker
Uumm get out the lead
Get out on up there
Get the lead out
(Get ready), I'll show you my fist
(Get ready), take hold of my wrist
(Get ready), we really can't miss
(Get ready)
Uumm, hey good lookin'
A what cha got there cookin'
You a young spring chicken
A make your feet start kickin'
no no, no no, no no, no no, no no, no no, no no, no no
(Get ready), I'll show you my fist
(Get ready), take hold of my wrist
(Get ready), we really can't miss
(Get ready)
Oh, hey good lookin'
A what cha got there cookin'
Hey good lookin'
A what cha got there cookin'
You a young spring chicken
A make your feet start kickin'
Boot it out, dance without me
No no, no no, no no, no no, no no, no no, no no
Like a real boogie woogie
Hear the juke box singin'
A get the dance hall swingin'
A won't you grab my shaker
I got to meet your maker
Uumm get out the lead
Get out on up there
Get the lead out

Not really about beyond flirting and fantasizing about a girl. Very excellent riff to this song though. I think its very underappreciated.
I agree with boozer on this, i think its about seeing a girl he thinks is very attractive and and fantasizing. The ending guitar riff is my favorite part and makes it have a "drug" type feel to it. Then again most songs from this album were about drugs... Great song though from my favorite band.
Tyler is singing about picking up a woman on a dance floor by appealing to her sense of wanting to dancing. Yet, his drive is to use the dance appeal to have sex with her.
The outro is a song sex metaphor. All of the sounds allude to sex.
Oh and there is an homage to the Beatles in two trilled sustained notes, likely by Whitford as Perry isn't subtle nor schooled.
@WayfarerWex What homage do you mean? What time is that in the song and which Beatles song does refer to? Cheers!
