Sick As A Dog Lyrics
Please, I just got to talk to you
Please, a getcha your head out of the loo
Please, and we're a long, long way from home
Please, you'd turn a young man's face to stone
Chorus
Sick as a dog, what's your story
Sick as a dog, a cat got your tongue
Sick as a dog, you'll be sorry
Sick as a dog, you're really ain't that young
Please, you were much to my surprise
Please, you're the lady in disguise
Please, you're the only a friend I got
Please, you'll be the last to see me rot
Sick as a dog, what's your story
Sick as a dog, uum cat got your tongue
Sick as a dog, you'll be sorry
Sick as a dog, 'cause ya really ain't that young
Please, it's a shame you're so refined
Please, you was the last thing on my mind
Please, don't be late to take it light
Please, you're gonna bay into the night
Sick as a dog, what's your story
Sick as a dog, uum cat got your tongue
Sick as a dog, you'll be sorry
Sick as a dog, 'cause you really ain't so young
Take it light
Take it light
Take it light
Take it light
Say goodnight
Take it light
Please, a getcha your head out of the loo
Please, and we're a long, long way from home
Please, you'd turn a young man's face to stone

I think it's about Tyler's relationship with an older woman.
Another great song by Aerosmith.
i think its about depending on only one person. great song
I think this is based on the same song outline as train kept a rollin' . It reminds me of an updated version of it.
I think it's about lovesickness and puppy love.
my fav aerosmith song
I think I read in Aerosmith's bio that this was about Steven Tyler meeting Mick Jagger. I think...
I've read that too. It actually makes sense. "'Cuz you really ain't that young," would make sense because at the time, rock stars were seen as very youthful, but Mick was getting older. I think in 1975 (the year before this song came out), he turned 32, which wasn't straight-up old, but certainly it had been a decade since "Satisfaction" had come out, there had been a number of rock stars who died at 27 or even younger and I think most of the '50s rock stars had been washed-up by that point in their lives, though...

There's also the line "it's a shame you're so refined," which could be a comment on how the Stones were a lot less unruly by that point and had arguably become mainstream stars.
It´s About being dope sick i think
@tincho20sal I spoke with Tom about this many years ago when I was working with the Band. He wrote the song and Steven tweeked the lyrics. According to Tom back in 1978, it's definitely about being dope sick which was especially true for me being "First time dope sick" for 3 days after we had that back stage conversation. One night of snorting "Wonder Drug" was all it took for me. I was never SO sick in my life! I actually thought it was the worst case of flu ever. Thank God I was too "young and dumb" to...

Thank God I was too "young and dumb" to know that a $10 bag would have made me "alright" but would have probably changed my life forever. changed. But GREAT song Tom ;)
I'm not 100% positive but, I believe it's a song that Steven wrote for his daughter. Can anyone add to this because I've always wondered about it.
Thank you for letting me contribute here.
Have a wonderful and soul fulfilling life everyone!!!!
@shockandaw I think that was Mia on Night in the Ruts, not this song. Maybe he wrote a couple for her but I know Mia was for sure. At the time people had thought Mia stood for M.I.A. (missing in action) and was about the Vietnam vets still missing. Steven said that is was about his daughter but was generally about missing someone so that it could stand for the Vets as well.

Steven Tyler took guardianship of 16 year old Julia Holcomb in 1975. The partied for 3 years together. This song was written for her in 1976. A volatile relationship where Tyler forced her into a abortion because of the amount of drugs they consumed ,Tyler thought the child would have birth defects."you\'re really ain\'t that young" and "you\'re a lady in disguise" is pretty straight forward.
