Back In The Saddle Lyrics
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
Ridin' into town alone
By the light of the moon
I'm looking for ole' Sukie Jones
She crazy horse saloon
Barkeep gimme a drink
That's when she caught my eye
She turned to give me a wink
That'd make a grown man cry
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
Umm...come easy, go easy
Alright 'til the rising sun
I'm calling all the shots tonight
I'm like a loaded gun
Peelin' off my boots and chaps
I'm saddle sore
Four bits gets you time in the racks
I scream for more
Fools' gold out of their mines
The girls are soaking wet
No tongue's drier than mine
I'll come when I get back
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm riding, I'm loading up my pistol
I'm riding, I really got a fistful
I'm riding, I'm shining up my saddle
I'm riding, this snake is gonna rattle
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
Ridin' high
Ridin' high
Ridin' high already
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
Ridin' into town alone
By the light of the moon
I'm looking for ole' Sukie Jones

hehe, the sexual references in this song are hilaerous. Aerosmith is the master of the double entendre
This song is awesome either way. I just used this song for one of my videos on Youtube.

@rhink - There's a lot of double entendre, for sure. But there's a lot of just plain "entendre", too. ;)

I'm BACKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
^Best half-scream ever.
This is the greatest riff of all time and one of the best the guys ever came up with.
@yiosh - Guns n Roses owes a lot of the raves they get for Moe's "Jungle" intro from "Saddle's" inspiration.

Joe Perry wrote this on a six string bass laying on the floor heroinized
@10west- Hmmmm...yes, yes....Nope, I'm not following you. Isn't this song about dressage?

Couldn't help but think it's about heroin or cocaine. "She crazy horse saloon" - Horse = heroin. "No tongue's drier than mine" - dry mouth as a side effect when the body "needs" it.
Perhaps it's about sex as well.
I don't know, maybe one or the other.
Just going with my imagination.
@$p$ , Yeah it’s a real good song to open the show with that’s for sure. It’s right up there with Zepplin opening their shows with rock ‘n’ roll. I got to say I always thought the song was about sex but what you said about the drugs really makes a lot of sense but I think it might be a combination. Anyway you slice it the song rocks!

@$p$ - I appreciate your imagination and I hope you use it well, but while H has a lot to do with this song, those aren't references to heroin. The song is about sex, sex and sex- in that order. After that, it's about more sex.

When I read the lyrics to this song, I think of a cowboy coming back to town. He's the one that all the girls love and all the guys fear. He's thinkin' "Oh, yeah, I'm back, where are the girls?"
This was my favorite post breakup song. I blasted this song out of my truck after I broke up with the dick I dated for 5 months who thought he was wiser than me just because he was older. This song is a sex addicts anthem..LoL Go get him tiger!
There is no doubt this song is about more than just coming back to touring.
But, when Aerosmith comes out on stage to this you will remember it forever...by far the best song I have heard anyone come out to for starting a concert. (Especially with the huge pink sheets circa 1998)
Aerosmith is amazing. This songs is so good and the double meanings and metaphors are just great
I like the way he seems to scream with an amazing amount of phlegm in his throat. Beautiful, really.
