This song is about a person who all there life was living it up, obviously just having fun. Who probably abandoned the REAL friends that they had to hang with the in crowd and now that they are alone... NO one is there. The party days are over, and their real friends are gone. So now they are alone.. all alone. And now realizes that they have made a bad choice...

I think its about her friends all moving on having kids getting married etc and her being left behind

Celine Dion just gives the song much more power and her voice is incredible. The last 1/3rd section is magnificent and is just so powerful :-)

Hers is the best version of this song that I've ever heard. She clearly conveys the true emotion in it, eloquently expressing the sorrow of someone who is all alone. There is no one she can count on. None of her friends answer her calls. That is probably the saddest line in the entire song. But she sings it so beautifully! If I had her voice, her bravada, I would be the happiest woman in the world!

I am a HUGE Celine Dion fan, and I've read about the day she recorded this song. Her husband purposely got into a little argument with her that morning, knowing she would sulk about it and be able to whip out that emotion. Not to mention the fact that in this song, she reaches an F note, which is almost out of her voice range. Celine rocks it out, and this song still gives me chills!
