I've heard both and Aerosmith live on this is amazing....I guess I'll put what it's about for those of you thinking it's a song about a train....a guy is blown away by this woman but he can't tell her cuz he has to act cool and obviously the train rollin is in reference to sex

hay people i did not really get what u ppl mean by this shit anyways this song is originally by yardbirds but that does not take anything away from the aerosmith version cause according 2 me this one is much better. Everybody STOP sayin' this is by the yardbirds. Yeah, they brought it to rock but it was written by some guy called Tiny Bradshaw. Well done kfe2!!

"Train Kept A-Rollin" is a song written by Tiny Bradshaw, Howard Kay, and Lois Mann. Bradshaw first recorded the song in 1951, it was his best known recording. After a rock and roll version of the song was recorded and released by Johnny Burnette and the Rock and Roll Trio in 1956, numerous other such versions have been recorded since. [from wikipedia]

Yardbirds recorded this in '65, 9 years after Burnette, and 14 years after Bradshaw.

Dick Wagner and Steve' Hunter played the solos on the "Get Your Wings" album version of this song by Aerosmith. Wagner and Hunter also played on the song 'Same Old Song and Dance' and Wagner played on 'Woman of the World' and 'Spaced' from the same album.

I always thought the guy was doing himself - couldn't get the nerve to tell the woman what he thought of her so just kept it up by himself during the whole ride.
