Cherry Bomb Lyrics
Can't stay at home, can't stay at school
Old folks say, ya poor little fool
Down the street I'm the girl next door
I'm the fox you've been waiting for
Hello Daddy, hello Mom
I'm your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb
Hello world I'm your wild girl
I'm your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb
Stone age love and strange sounds too
Come on baby let me get to you
Bad nights cause'n teenage blues
Get down ladies you've got nothing to lose
Hello Daddy, hello Mom
I'm your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb
Hello world I'm your wild girl
I'm your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb
Hey street boy whats your style
Your dead end dreams don't make you smile
I'll give ya something to live for
Have ya, grab ya til your sore
Hello Daddy, hello Mom
I'm your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb
Hello world I'm your wild girl
I'm your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb
Old folks say, ya poor little fool

I'm going to have to go with this version, though I do enjoy the Bratmobile version as well. Depends on my mood.
Joan was actually the one who wrote this song. Either way, both versions are totally rad, and this is one of the best songs to just crank to max volume :D
I cannot believe there isn't like 50 pages of people saying how brilliant this song is!! But the meaning is so obviously simple, just a teenage wild child seducing everyone. The Runaways wrote this, so obviously other versions could only live in the shadow. like Cherie Currie did this so perfectly.
this was originally done by the runaways joan jett covered this song and i think that the best version is the runaways version
Totally agree, the Runways one is powerful.
i like the version by Bratmobile ALOT better.
L7's version's better
Agreed about the bratmobile comment!
