I saw him dancin' there by the record machine
I knew he must a been about seventeen
The beat was goin' strong
Playin' my favorite song
And I could tell it wouldn't be long
'Til he was with me, yeah, me
And I could tell it wouldn't be long
'Til he was with me, yeah, me, singin'

I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with me
Ow

He smiled, so I got up and asked for his name
"That don't matter", he said, "'cause it's all the same"
I said, "Can I take you home where we can be alone?"
And next we were movin' on
He was with me, yeah, me
Next we were movin' on
He was with me, yeah, me singin'

I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with me
Ow

Said, "Can I take you home where we can be alone?"
Next we were movin' on
He was with me, yeah, me
And we'll be movin' on
And singin' that same old song
Yeah, with me, singin'

I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with me

I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with

I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with

I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with

I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with me

General CommentIt's funny you guys mention Brittney Spears is covering this song. This song was originally sung by The Arrows, but Joan Jett saw them one time and she asked if she could cover that and they gladly said yes because they didn't care for it too much. So Brittney is covering a song Joan Jett covered. What a god damn idiot.

The song meaning to this is pretty much straight forward. It's about her taking a young kid home and having sex with him. But she's doing all the aggressiveness. She was trying to represent women as powerful.

General CommentThis is a good song...the guitar solo in the song is not the best of all time. I have heard better but this is a great song to crank up and sing to loudly.

General CommentSexy lyrics (I love it when women come on to me!), simple chord progreesion (even my nephew can play it!) and an anthemic chorus (you gotta love those chorus' that are easy to remember when you're pissed out of your head and singing songs at a pub with the karoake machine on!) Joan Jett 4 life, niggerz!
