I'm really surprised there are no comments about this one yet. This is one of my favorite covers of all time by any artist. Always reminded me of the Poe poem "Annabel Lee".

This song was co-written and originally performed by Jody Reynolds (1932-2008) in 1958; it was his only Top Ten hit. Cowriter was Delores Nance.
