Puppet Lyrics

It's all around me,
I can't wish this away,
you so amaze me,
you took my monster away,
Wake me, c'mon and wake me up now I
want to cut off my strings and break,
loose of your control of me,
cut your strings and be free with me,

Everybody, shake your body,
lift your hands, stop frontin',
you're just a puppet,

To all the marionettes

If they say jump, how high ya gonna jump?,
and if they say run, how fast ya gonna run?,
all you perpetrators be walkin' round frontin',
what?, you fakers afraid to stand for somethin'?

why don't ya stand up n' break me off
somethin'?

Ya wanna make it outta sight?,
somebody wanna get live tonight?,
we can hit that, flip that, settle the score,
'n' ain't nobody rock a crowd like this before,
ya wanna make it outta sight?,
somebody wanna get live tonight?,
like an earthquake, let it shake,
make the floor vibrate, Krutch y'all,
back to set the record straight.

All y'all people, listen, it's on,
Krutch marauders we on a mission,
hittin' ya with the ill ammunition,
at war with the puppet master, ..
I'll bring it on if I had to,
rip it 'n' leave the whole scene shattered,
like chik, chik, blaow!, what ya think of me now,
I'm lettin' my dawgs out,
makin' it loud so hear me shout, what?,
we be comin' laced with bass,
hit the place with no trace,
when we rock the space,

to all the people still sleepin'

This is the first song I ever heard by TFK and it immediately caught my attention. They're so talented and totally rock! I think this song is talking about how God takes away our sin and helps us with our struggles "you took my monster away" and because of that we shouldn't go after Him half-heartedly "if you're gonna run how fast ya gonna run? and if you're gonna jump, how high u gonna jump?" Its got a great message by THE most awesome Christian band ever!!

Actully one of tfks more lyricly involed songs off the old album. The song starts speaking to god about how he wants to "cut off his strings" and break away from the normal conformity of life. It then switches to singing to peers or individuals saying "stop frontin'"... aka stop being something your not. Don't conform to what other want, stand up for what u no is right. Dont be afraid to express your faith. and again with the "If they say jump, how high ya gonna jump?," we need to step out and stop following ans stard leading. the next parts are just more of tfk's trademark rapping rambling ( gotta love it ) althought in the last verse slight reflection of his new insight to be individual and to express his beliefs shows thtough. "what ya think of me now, I'm lettin' my dawgs out, makin' it loud so hear me shout, what"

like i said... slight...

awesome song though...

Adam, seriously, if you know who TFK is, if you actually follow their songs, they are a very lyrically involved band, and they spoke about God in one way or another in most of their songs. This one is no exception. Obviously you haven't done any research on the subject. Don't go making insulting remarks before you actually know what you're talking about, because it just makes you look dumb.

sooo this bands songs are pretty good.. but at this one part

If they say jump, how high ya gonna jump?, and if they say run, how fast ya gonna run?, all you perpetrators be walkin' round frontin', what?, you fakers afraid to stand for somethin'?

seriously sounds like white guys trying to rap..ruins the song for me.

My Opinion

I think this song is about how we can be in bondage to things (anger, drugs, alcohol, jealousy, etc) and let them control us. We need to learn to let God cut off our strings so that we can be free to live our lives for Him.

My Interpretation

Unsweetsugar, TFK is Christian rapcore, so of course there will be rapping in the song. And I agree with JakeTie, who is in Adam's replies, who also agrees with jakeob.

Song about braking conformity, not anything to do with god... Dipshits...

It can be interpreted either way. But the way TFK wrote it, it's most certainly about God.

  • There's the Puppet master, which is obviously Satan. He's the very first manipulator, after all. It's about breaking away from the strings that he pulls on people, and then telling others to break their's and be free. It calls out the people that fake being free and tells them they are just puppets.
