And you bring me to my knees

All this time, that I could make you pleased, and you
All this time, when I felt insecure, and you
And I leave my burdens out the door

Chorus
I'm on the outside, I'm looking in
I can see through you, see your true colors
coz inside your ugly, your ugly like me
I can see through you, see to the real you

(random Fred Durst cuss words)

All this time, when I felt like this won't end
Was for you
And I taste
what I can never have
It's from you
All those times, when I tried
my intentions, full of pride
and I waste,
more time than anyone

Chorus

All the times, that I've cried
All this wasting
It's all inside
And I feel, all this pain
Stuffed it down
It's back again
and I lie, here in bed
All alone
I can't mend, and I feel
tomorrow will be Ok
But it won't

Chorus

This is absolutely one of my favorite songs. The fact that Fred Durst had to go and ruin it sucks majorly.

Actually, I think this song is about someone who is trying so hard to please another person, but then realizes that the other person doesn't care, and really isn't worth pleasing. This other person totally ignored the singers efforts. And that hurt, and made the singer feel alone.

Actually I don't think that this song has to do with another person at all. I think this song is an internal battle with youself. "It's all inside and I feel all this pain" The battles that we wage with ourselfs are the most dramatic and I think that this is what the song writer was trying capture. I think the chorus is just him looking in the mirror. But that is just my opinion.

I can actually relate to this song. I've tried to get this girl to like me (even though she was taken off the list by an undevoted boyfriend). When Aaron says the second verse, that one got me. I don't think any other power ballad like this one would ever have an impact on me. I know that Aaron sings about seeing the real person. That's exactly what I want to do. I want to see the real person that this girl is and show her that I miss her. Well, thanks for reading my hopeless romancer message. Cya!

this song is about(i think) a guy who likes a girl that doesn't like him, and treats him bad though he still tries to get her too.

Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
