    One of the best kid rock songs by far in my opinion. It's obvious that the song is about his rise to fame, and trying to deal with it. And also even though life gets hard sometimes, theres always things that can make life easier and make you feel better

    "A stellar production" - David Lee Roth. If you've never seen Kid Rock in concert you have to, its your homework assignment. Even if you dont like him, go, its an event. He plays every instrament. Amazing. And when he plays this song ever lighter in the place is burning.

    I think the songs about some one whos just simply in a dark place in there life. because of an addiciton, relationships, death. etc And when your in that dark place you feel know one understands you. And you dont even understand your self. You dont feel like you use to (its been so long sense i've been home i've been gone i've been gone for way to long) No body knows why things like this happen turns out ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY.

    I'm not religious by any means. I think this song is about depression and how life gets you down. But somehow you find the will to carry on through any means, god or whatever. I also think this is a song about wanting to find a soul mate but somehow can't.

    my dad used to listen to this song all the time it was his favorite song and one day he told me that he really realated to this song "i take to many pills it helps to ease the pain" he was sick and he had to take like 20 pills a day "i watch my youngest son and it helps to pass the time" i was his youngest son and he used to love to watch me skate...then a couple of days before fathers day, maybe like a week, he died...."Its been so long since I've been home I've been gone, I've been gone way too long"
