Love Never Dies, Pt. 3 Lyrics
Saw you looking so sad
Like everything is gone
So you left them all
Just leave them all behind
Just realize the water is way over our heads
I don't worry much, cause I'm halfway dead
So why are you crying?
Why are you crying?
Can you tell me why, can you tell me how?
Can you tell me why aren't you happy now?
Whatever it is, it's really over now
Can you tell me why, can you tell me how?
We took them by surprise
By leaving this place
Some thoughts we left behind
Some good and some sad
You should know
I hold you in my arms...
You should know
That I hold you in my arms...
Like everything is gone
So you left them all
Just leave them all behind
Just realize the water is way over our heads
I don't worry much, cause I'm halfway dead
Why are you crying?
Can you tell me why aren't you happy now?
Whatever it is, it's really over now
Can you tell me why, can you tell me how?
By leaving this place
Some thoughts we left behind
Some good and some sad
I hold you in my arms...
That I hold you in my arms...

this is my favorite song, ever.
it's fucking perfect.
This is one of my favorite songs... Just gorgeous..
To me, this song represents kind of a double setup. That a partner has died, or that a relationship has been reborn, perhaps both. I think that the first half of the first verse is about a loved one commiting suicide <i>"Saw you looking so sad .. you left them all"</i> And that the second half of the first stanza is the reaction of the lover left alone .. <i>"Just realize the water is way over our heads; I dont worry much, cause I'm halfway dead"</i> Having water over your head kinda goes with the suicide thing, and having water over <b>our</b> heads definately signals that there's an unbreakable partnership there. Furthermore, the halfway dead bit can be taken to mean that a person, who is part of a couple, has lost half of themselves, id est, their partner. I think that the second bit are the questions we'd like to ask our deceased loved ones. Tell me why you were crying, tell me why you werent happy. Oh well, it doesnt matter now, that you're dead. The third section of the song tells me that the second half, committed suicide too. <i>"We took them by suprise; By leaving this place; Some thoughts we left behind; Some good and some bad"</i> <b>We</b> took them.. that tells me that in the end, both of them died, and that they left everything behind, to move onto a new life. And the song ends with a repetition of <i>"You should know; That I hold you in my arms..."</i> Which means, to me, that despite the fact that they've gone through life and death together, the couple, so to speak, will remain strong.
I am not sure how accurate this info is, but I once heard that the woman doing the female vocals on this track died before it was finished. If this is true, this is the saddest song I've ever heard. Unfortunatly it is near impossible to find onfo on View [the APB side project she was invilved in] to verify this. "I don't worry much, cause I'm halfway dead"

To me it's like the girl/person he loves either died or committed suicide, and it's killing him almost literally.
