Electronic Warfare Lyrics

Three lives to live
I'm trapped inside my zone
Firing shots, I became the target
I've lost my shields, she's bulletproof
Pressing buttons and shifting gear
You run away from what you fear
She shoots to kill
Electronic Warfare!

One life to go
You shoot before you aim
Reaching for a killer's heart
The only thing I claim
Time is running out
Suppose it's not a game
You reload your gun
Electronic Warfare!

This is easy. It's about someone who's really into a video game. Makes me think of multiplayer Quake. And it's a great song to play Quake to.

I think it goes beyond the obvious video game reference. I think it's a parallel to a relationship Grothesk once had. "I've lost my shields, she's bullet proof" is a reference to her mercilessness.

I'd rather like to belive its a reference to combat in the Matrix (William Gibson / othe classic cyberpunk Matrix, not the hollywod movie matrix). More than a few references to Black Ice.

Grothesk said once in interviev, that he had a times, when he was depressed and then he was sitting at home, playing all the video games. It's about it.
