Astoria Paranoia Lyrics
Is there something going on around me
Is there something I should know?
The ghost of paranoia slips into my mind
And the dust it settles in
It's getting harder to remember
Just what it is I need to say
Another shadow in the memory
I'll never be the same again
So tell me where the fire is
And why is everybody running
For all I know I could be losing my mind
And the dust it settles in
Whoa - Lost inside my mind
Is there something going on around me
Is there something I should know?
Everything just seems to vanish in the haze
And the dust it settles in
Whoa - Lost inside my mind
In my head... long to shed...
Now we all are one
Whoa - Lost inside my mind
Inside my mind
Is there something I should know?
The ghost of paranoia slips into my mind
And the dust it settles in
Just what it is I need to say
Another shadow in the memory
I'll never be the same again
And why is everybody running
For all I know I could be losing my mind
And the dust it settles in
Is there something I should know?
Everything just seems to vanish in the haze
And the dust it settles in
Now we all are one
Inside my mind

one of my favorite living end songs... next to prisoner of society
Awesome drum intro. So lively and rhythmic. Awesome
FUCKING BRILLIANT! A great song to yell to on the top of your lungs when no one is listening :P hee hee!
well, i love this song so much i wrote it all down my arms yesterday in black fine liner. basically, it's about this guy who's paraniod, maybe has some kind of mental disease, and it kinda distant from the rest of the world "lost inside his mind". whatever it is, i love this song so much! i love singing it on the roof in the middle of the night!

I think it's just a song about someone feeling paranoid about something in general, not necessarily someone who has a mental illness. They're so caught up in their fear and paranoia that they feel as if they've glazed over (maybe that the 'ghost of paranoia' has covered their vision) and can't feel everything as sharply as everyone else does, so they feel isolated.
