this is a great song. lars and the bastards are one hell of a band. this is a great cd. i suggest everyone go out and buy it.
This song is a synthesis of all the 20th century wars WWI "Trench Warfare" WWII "Blitzkrieg" Vietnam and Napalm + fighting communism "domino theory". It also mentions the cold war "Clandestine" the innermost workings of the C.I.A. contains a clandestine service(The guy who died in Afghanistan Mike Spann) overall theme= U.S. soldier is a unit of measure and a commodity. Like Guns N Roses "Civil War" selling humans in a human grocery store.
This is a kick ass song, They are a great band I can't wait for thier next cd... and Lars is one bad ass guitarist
yeah, Lars and tha bastards are great, but this band is a "sideproject" of Lars Frederiksen and Matt freeman from Rancid. Lars Frederiksen and the bastard are uctually not a ordinary band. it's a kind of expriment. Lars and Matt "hired" the bastards - some people from different bands, don't know so much about them. so this cd is only a one-time thing. but who knows. there might come a second cd.
They are a bay area band and got 2 members from another bay area band.... the Forgotten which is a great fucking band which will be big by christmas I know it. The unknown bastard is the forgotten leadsinger Gordie but shhh don't tell and the lead gutarist is the gutarist from the forgotten he is the one with the big red mohawk named craig
the only part matt freeman has in this band is that he plays mandolin in the second cd
