I got my girlfriend into the Afghan Whigs. Although 66 is of course her favorite, this one is one she enjoys also.

The narrator is finally taking the girl for a “good” time out in town after fucking her. He thinks she’s a good shag, and wants to keep her around a little while longer. It’s very self serving because the songs really about him feeling good, and at the moment, she’s what makes him feel good. He’s trying to sell her that he’s in love with her but it’s a “sweeter lie”. All in all, it’s a song about sex.
