Twist The Knife (slowly) Lyrics
Gut level, below it all.
Out of duty - just here.
Feel like a knife's been twisted
in the hole of how it is.
False hope, an inch of pride
that died when I left to hide
from a non stop battering
of conditioned opinions,
Rest assured but non assured, all is well,
but I think we've dealt
with the fear for far too long.
Unborn suffer the norm.
Born to this - I think not !
I stand against...till the shit drops.
We see all but do nothing,
in the hole of " How it is ".
Out of duty - just here.
in the hole of how it is.
that died when I left to hide
from a non stop battering
of conditioned opinions,
but I think we've dealt
with the fear for far too long.
Born to this - I think not !
I stand against...till the shit drops.
in the hole of " How it is ".

DEATH, FUKIN, METAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!!!!
This isnt death metal at all! This is what we in England call "Grindcore". Love this tune, Barmey is one of the greatest guys around! BARNEY GREENWAY FOR PRIME MINISTER!
Buddy, so just because you English call it Grindcore, that means it isnt death metal? riiiiiight. Napalm Death are Death Metal, and this song, like all their others, has an obvious meaning to it, I dont need to elaborate.
actually, this record is a Mix of death metal and some weird extreme punk (which is called Grindcore in the whole world)

its called grindcore because it mixes a lot of extreme genres such as harcore punk, heavy metal death and black metal...and yes it is called grindcore but not just for this song or album. Just look for it somewhere on the internet there's a lot of info on the genre. And yes it was " invented" maily by english bands :D

Napalm Death's earlier stuff is classified as grindcore. Their later stuff is death metal, ie The Code is Red, Enemy of the Music Business. BUt listne to Scum and From Enslavement to Obilteration, that IS grindcore.
This songs fucking raw as hell, the think that gets me is that they are against violence
Sounds like it is about standing up for what you believe in, even if what is wrong is normal and 'how things are'..
