when i dumped my exboyfriend because he cheated on me, he gave me the lyrics to this song to describe how he felt.. anyways! i think its about a guy who cant commit, and he has hurt his girlfriend because of it. she thinks he doesn't care. and once she is gone, he realizes that he loves her. typical guy.

This song is my faviorite song ever! and It is the only reason for my account here. The reason I love the song so much is because I think it is about a guy that is completely in love with a girl and she is totally clueless. Like she's a good friend or something. That's why he can't say "you're mine right now" because he knows she's not his. She is heartbroken from somebody else, that's why she is always trying so hard (sweating pound for pund) and she's being hurt constantly. He reminds him that she doesn't need to go through all of that and that she could just love him back and he'll do everything for her, just as he has been doing forever.
This song is his way of finally confessing what he's felt for so long and he's doing it because he just can't take seeing her suffer so much. He wants to make it up to her with a beautiful song, and I relly think he did.
