Resurrection Lyrics

Complications inside of me
Reminds me that my heart won't always beat
The ugly face of death that's smiling
At my rotting teeth

I will die here in this sorrow
I was waiting for tomorrow
Palpitate the pulse until
You feel my heart explode against the wall

Oh

Talk about me
Laugh about me
Cry about me
Nail me to the cross
I'll be a martyr for the hated
The weak, the ugly, the lost

I will die here in this sorrow
I won't wait for tomorrow
Palpitate the pulse until
You resurrect my soul from the wall

Whoa

Talk about me
Laugh about me
Cry about me
Nail me to the cross

Whoa

this is one of my fav. misfits songs ever! obviously it has some reference to christ, but i dont understand it.. and what does palpitate mean?

Palpitate means to beat with excessive rapidity. LOL and as for the referances to the fictional character named Christ you must be talking about being nailed to a cross. That was a way of torture by the Romans to anyone who opposed them and it then became famous because of the fictional character. He became a martyr for Naziholics hypichristians everywhere. Just as the person in the song became one to our kind.

@Crow_Graves \r\nThe debate over whether Jesus is the "Christ" is up for debate but to claim he never even existed? That would certainly be a surprise to most historians who agree an influential man known as "Jesus of Nazareth" did indeed exist and was ultimately crucified under orders from a Roman provincial governor (Pontius Pilate) at the request of the Sanhedrin. \r\n\r\nWas he the "Christ" (meaning "anointed one") of Messianic prophesy? Christians think so. Jews think he was a great leader/teacher. Muslims think he was "Isa," a great prophet. But all at least agree he existed. \r\n\r\nSo I\'d love to...

"our kind"...as if we are a species, just because we like the misfits. i enjoy how you made it the main point of your entry to express that christ is a "fictional character". just the way you wrote it was funny.

i do this the song is making a reference to christ since the song is called resurrection and it mentions 'I'll be a martyr for the hated' and 'Nail me to the cross'
