Devil With The King's Card Lyrics

Come burn with me
Because I burn with conviction
From a pain you'll never never
Understand
Never forget what i said
Cause you ain't half of me
I'll shatter and break
Anything that stands
In front of me
Were taking down
What the fuck is ever
In our way
So get away

I will see your
Rise and fall
I will be your
Rise and fall
I will make your
Rise and fall
I will create your
Rise and fall

Come burn for me
I'll forgive despise your actions
Cause you never ever
Backed the words you said
Give into it and admit
That you're the one who quit
You said it yourself
"I'm the best" and you
"can't handle it"
So now watch while
Machine Head takes it all
It all

And i feel for you
Because your eyes they whore
And i think i hurt
Because of something more
I see you falling all apart
Because you lies they
Decide your whore

I will make the walls fall down
Down
Fall down

I will see your
Rise and fall
I will be your
Rise and fall
I will make your
Rise and fall
I will create your
Rise and fall

Its actually about guitarist Logan Mader unexpectedly leaving the band after The More Things Change.

"bands that follow trends to get popular" Pretty ironic, seeing as how this is off The Burning Red, which is Machine Head's nu-metal album.

@pirateballoon Supercharger was more so their nu-metal album I would say ... American High

This song sort of sums up the whole "The Burning Red" album for me. Sort of muddy, doesn't seem to know where it wants to go. Is Nu Metal? Some heavy Alice In Chains style Alt Metal? Heavy, down-tuned guitar, angry lyrics about overcoming something vague, chest thumping. /Shrug. I don't get it. It's not a bad song. It's not a bad album, it just doesn't seem to have any focus.

The title seems more suited to their latest album, "Bloodstone and Diamonds" in regards to "cards". Although the music and lyrics are way off the mark for that album.
