Bay Of Pigs

Do any of you know the historical reference to the Bay of Pigs? Basically exiled Cubans were trained by the CIA to invade Cuba but were all killed because Castro expected the attack.

This one's a hard critique of the government, their failure to help the people, and relentlessly driving us down a path of war and destruction. It's a criticism of the existing legal and governmental systems, adding how they perpetuate lies and corruption. They also mention the disillusionment of multiple generations towards these systems, emphasizing their despise for the lies they have been fed. Today, the past generation is either fed up with everything and skeptical of everything they say, or they still trust them; Even when faced with their corruption and betrayal, they still choose to trust them.

But it also mentions that the younger generations are waking up to the truth and rejecting the false narratives that have been forced upon them by those who came before them, still holding the power. In the eyes of the younger generation, all the politicians are just self-serving pigs of corruption. The title is also probably a reference to the failed military landing, the Bay of Pigs invasion, an operation on the southwestern coast of Cuba in 1961. The military failed, the government failed their soldiers, many died, and a thousand were captured as war prisoners.

Other than being an awesome song, sounds like they've got it in for the whole (government/police) system because words such as 'serve and protect' and 'pig' are used against 'flaw' 'despised' 'lies'. Reminds me of Rage against the machine.

And it reminds me of the song "Dittohead" by slayer (which Machine Head also played live along with slayer :)

Robb Flynn said in an interview that it was basically about the cops in the San Francisco Bay area which is why it is called Bay of Pigs. I think it's not too hard to figure out that it's about being pissed off at the police and politicians.

Its about pigs what else.
