I Never Thought I'd Live To Be A Million Lyrics
I never thought I'd get to be a million,
I never thought I'd get to be the thing
All His other children see. Look at me.
I never thought I'd get to be the thing
All His other children see. Look at me.

Space travel and aging. Einstein had a theory about it. I don't remember exactly, but if your travelling the speed of light the aging process slows down (something to that effect). The album this is from (To Our Childrens...) is about space travel and being in space a loooong time. Also see "I'd Never Thought I'd Love to Be a Hundred".
The space traveller is aging (a LOT). "All of his other children" refer to everyone that's been born while he's been travelling in space.
I wrote my senior (HS) english paper on this album, and I has always conclude that this song alluded to the attainment of a godlike form through the journey described in the album. Being an atheist, this was always an interesting ponderence of mine, and even though several of the band members were devout christians, I always felt their lyrics were essentially purely philosophical, and not religiously skewed. Wonderful stuff that still resonates with me today
