Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.

Respect the structure

Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.

Yeah, it is. Brilliant. The less lyrics there are, the more ways in which you can interpret it. The title has always made me wonder what it is he can't reach, because if he can 'turn stars' his arms must be very long! And what is it that he's waiting around for? Hmmm. Maybe I'm thinking too literally!

Such a beautiful song, I can only think it's about love lost... work with me here... the first time I heard this song I was super into this girl (dropdead gorgeous lady who seemed way out of my league but was obviously into me)... obviously she had a piece of shit boyfriend. I would listen to Arms Can't Stretch and think about how there was no way I'd be able to reach (arms couldn't stretch?). I'd get angry and negative (boo hoo, right?), so I thought emotionally i "turned black"... I'd try to forget about her... Admit that wasnt gonna happen. But then I'd talk to her and think there might be a chance it would work... I would be absolutely elated for a night ("turn stars"?). I thought it was real... But nope. I had to move on. Never felt that way about a girl again, but Arms Can't Stretch still brings those feelings back. Fucking beautiful.
