This song is about the introvert who is the center of the party when it's time to "turn it on". Dr Hekyl is the introvert. Mr. Jive is the center of attention if only for a moment that all true introverts are used to. Two sides of the same person. Every introvert lives this way, and Colin Hay (of Men at Work) was brilliant to write a song about it.
