Beyond The Invisible Lyrics

I look into the mirror
See myself, I'm over me
I need space for my desires
Have to dive into my fantasies
I know as soon as I'll arrive
Everything is possible
Cause no one has to hide
Beyond the invisible
Sajaja bramani totari ta, raitata raitata, radu ridu raitata, rota
The brave and wise men came together on horse
Close your eyes
Just feel and realize
It is real and not a dream
I'm in you and you're in me
It is time
To break the chains of life
If you follow you will see
What's beyond reality
Ne irascaris Domine,
ne ultra memineris iniquitatis:
ecce civitas Sancti facta est deserta:
Sion deserta facta est:
Ierusalem desolata est:
domus sanctificationis tuae et gloriae tuae Do not be angry Lord,
or remember iniquity forever:
behold the Holy City is a desert:
Sion is mad a desert:
Jerusalem is desolate:
the house of your holiness and glory

"Close your eyes, just feel and realize it is real and not a dream, I'm in you and you're in me. It is time To break the chains of life, if you follow you will see, what's beyond reality."

This to me sort of stretches into Quantum Psychology or to some, Buddhism. Both refer to the "unified field" or being "one" with everything within the universe. Quantum Psychology suggests that everything is perception and that everything in our surround or external reality is literally created by an observer (us). Buddhism suggests the same with the Yin/Yang. Hence "It is real and not a dream, I'm in you and you're in me." There is no external reality. We create it ALL.

The last line: "It is time to break the chains of life, if you follow you will see, what's beyond reality." To me, is referring to our collective belief system or accept beliefs. Laws, rules, policies, procedures and what all religions have taught us to be true. We were born free but all of these beliefs limit us to who we really are "what's beyond reality." That unified field or oneness which we were all born from. The true Self or the whole Self that exists in each and everyone of us. Because we are the universe, the tree, the sun, the moon and the stars yet our current belief system says that we are separate from all of these things.

This is one of the most amazing songs that I have ever, ever heard. Thank You Enigma...

Thank you so much for putting into words what I struggled to. You have helped me come to great understanding and meaning of an experience I've had. And yes, thank Enigma!

To me, whenever I listen to it, feel as if this song is deeply touching on the afterlife and going back into your original state of being. Reaching nirvana, heaven, the door in between, whatever you may call it. The title 'Beyond the Invisible' reaffirms this, as well as the lyrics, "It is real and not a dream.. It is time to break the chains of life". If you listen closely to the song, they begin to chant in latin, a characteristic of Enigma's songs, once more touching on the mystical, the afterlife. Although the latin translation seems to be mocking Christian beliefs, if you also look at the music video, you then think that what you originally thought the song to be, isn't what it was.

In the end, the song is touching on the afterlife and how you might in fact be tired of this world, contemplating suicide, wishing to go back to when you were young, live a life without worries, and take the easy way out into darkness... But at the end, it is up to you to decide if you want to choose the light or the dark.

Powerful, powerful song. Enigma/Michael Cretu is a genius.

My Interpretation

To me, the song means you should not just dream your dreams, but live them 'It is real and not a dream'

You also are encouraged to make up your own dreams, to stand up for your fantasies, and not just do what everyone's doing ('To break the chains of life')

It's about breaking out of the daily routine and doing some meditation 'close your eyes', to realise what your true desires are, what you are longing for and to fulfill yourself, and not being scared of doing it, setting no limits 'everything is possible'. Just listen to your own feelings, and not to what others might expect from you. Just live your life..

Everyone will undoubtedly view the music video differently, but here is my interpretation:

The music video for "Beyond the Invisible" by Enigma, directed by Julien Temple, is a visually striking and thought-provoking piece that explores themes of escapism, self-discovery, and the unknown. The video begins with a sullen-looking woman looking out the window covered in raindrops from inside a house while being yelled at by a man.

The imagery of the woman being trapped in a negative and oppressive environment, sets the tone for the video, which is one of longing for escape and self-discovery. The woman's decision to put on her Walkman in front of a mirror, and run out of the house indicates that she has found a way to escape her negative emotions. The video turns to color, and the woman is suddenly inside a forest, where "forest people" blend into the trees and shrubbery.

The imagery of the forest people singing the chant, together with the "man machines," walking slowly towards somewhere, contrasts with the oppressive environment the woman had previously been in and suggests that she has found a new, vibrant, and fantastical world.

Everyone eventually congregates at a frozen lake where two people are ice skating. The imagery of the clothing worn by the skating dancers changing, together with the change in time from dusk to night and eventually daylight, suggests that the woman's journey is not just physical but also a journey of self-discovery.

The imagery of the "man machines" holding and flipping signs with ancient symbols suggests that the woman's journey is also a journey into the unknown, and an exploration of the unknown. The video concludes with the woman being approached by one of the "man machines," who holds out his hand to her.

The imagery of them walking off into the distance, followed by the image of the dancers fading to nothing, suggests that the woman has found a new path and a new way of experiencing the world, one that is free from the negativity and stress she felt earlier.

did anyone know, that the non english part is taken from the lithuanian folclore? this is how the lithuanians sing glees, like songs that are started by one person and when he/she reaches a certain part the other one starts the song and so on. and if about the lyrics.. i think that we shouldn't search for understandable meanings in any songs by enigma, even the band name shows it

@carrotkins actually, Latvian folklore more specifically in this case, as the verse is sung by Latvian suiti folk choir. The root of the word bramani certainly is shared with Lithuanian, being of Baltic language origin. The verse refers to summoning higher forces to commune over a pressing, serious matter, or a celebration of high feasts, usually of crucial importance and deeply spiritual in nature.
