Little Girl's Eyes Lyrics
All I have
And all I do
Cannot compare
To the love of you
You make me feel alive
You are my highest high
All I can do is smile
When I look in my little girl's eyes
When I look in my little girl's eyes X4
You're my star
And when I'm far
You're not alone
'Cause your heart's my home
You are my biggest prize
So beautiful and so wise
I can see the woman from within my child
When I look in my little girl's eyes
When I look in my little girl's eyes X4
You make me feel alive
And you are my highest high
All I want to do when I come into the room is see her smile
When I look in my little girl's eyes
When I look in my little girl's eyes X4
And all I do
Cannot compare
To the love of you
You are my highest high
All I can do is smile
When I look in my little girl's eyes
And when I'm far
You're not alone
'Cause your heart's my home
So beautiful and so wise
I can see the woman from within my child
When I look in my little girl's eyes
And you are my highest high
All I want to do when I come into the room is see her smile
When I look in my little girl's eyes

This song captures the mood perfectly about what a lot of men say happens to them once they have a kid. Their priorities change, all that matters is experiencing things with their kid, and all the things that were important and excited them in the past can't compare. Me, I've never had a kid and I hope I don't ever have one, but... to each his own I guess. Hell I'll probably be saying the same thing some day, ugh.. I hope not.
I'll also add that I didn't know that Lenny had a child. He puts on this vibe of being a player and a womanizer - I've seen no press mention of him having a child or even a wife.
Oh yeah, he was married to Lisa Bonet and they had a daughter named Zoe. She's gotta be 15 or 16 by now. But it is a sweet inspiring song. I don't have kids yet but I know guys that have this view...
I absolutely love this song, and I don't even have a child. I love the instrumentation and the words are masterful. I always wanted a son, but this song makes me pray for a daughter one day.
