Check 217 Lyrics

You better check yourself (check yourself)
Before you check on me (check on me)
Check the 217 (Rejoicing)
Come one the family (unity)
Ask me where I stand and what's my reason
Ask me what's my rhyme and who I'm pleasin'
Ask me why I love and why I'm breathin'
Ask me what's the time and the season
The times are changin' but my status stays the same
We all got the purpose and the purpose aint fame
The almighty Christ is my redemptive claim
People are created now on in the same
Universe come together
Servants comeer
Culture come together
Family come together
You better check yourself (Check yourself)
Before you check on me (Check on me)
Check the 217 (rejoicing)
Come one the family (unity)
Tell me where I stand and whats my reason
Tell me what's my rhyme and who I'm pleasin'
Tell me why I love and why I'm breathin'
Tell me what's the time and the season
I'd like to inform the humans are the norm
We all like to swarm but the curtain was torn
Outpouring of redemption
That sinks to the core open the door
Come one come rock the voices resound
Come one come rock
Check yourself

this song is totally about being one united people in Christ. these verses say it clearly: The almighty Christ is my redemptive claim People are created now one in the same Universe come together Servants come together Culture come together Family come together if you read somewhere in Isaiah i believe, its talking about the Holy of Holies (if that song sounds familiar) and there was a single temple that was in the middle of temples around it, and this single temple was called the Holy of Holies, and it was considered the most sacred place to go. even the high priest was only allowed in there once a year, because they didnt want the spirit of God to escape that room. this temple was locked in by a very, very, VERY thick curtain (and it must have been pretty darn heavy too). well later in the bible, it talks about how when Jesus is risen, that curtain is torn to let the spirit of God flow everywhere. that explains this verse: I'd like to inform the humans are the norm We all like to swarm but the curtain was torn i could go on and on about this song... but i'll stop here =D hope this helped someone
