Candy Perfume Girl

I've been trying to figure out the meaning to this song for a long time now. I think it's about a very seductive, feminine woman that a man is deeply attracted to and wants very badly, but does not respect and believes to be just a silly "candy perfume girl". He becomes involved with her on this basis, but soon realizes that she's much more than that, and feels threatened. By his reaction, she reveals that it is he who is really the silly "candy perfume boy".

Don't know if this is true or not, but after I posted that theory above I started asking around for the true meaning and was told that, in an interview, Madonna said that she'd used magnetic poetry to randomly write the song's lyrics. Looking at the lyrics, I could definitely believe it, but, as I said, I'm not one hundred percent sure that it's the truth.

I listened to the song while super baked and I just accepted it as fact that this song is about a guy smelling a candy perfume on his girlfriend or wife’s body. He comes to like the smell, but he could never find which perfume it was. Until one day a guy that has relations to the wife as a friend or whatever comes over, and he smells the perfume on him but much stronger. So basically a song about a guy finding out his girlfriend cheated through a perfume which is why it switches to “candy perfume boy” towards the end when the song gets more aggressive and angry and says the line “did I lie to you”
