"the colour of your hair is the colour of love" that line hurts every time i hear it...i've had sooooo many people think they were in love with me, only to learn later, much later, that they were in love with the IDEA of me...the idea of having a natural redhead for a girlfriend...telling me they loved me when really they hardly knew me...

One of my favorite songs ever. I'd like to think of it as a love song, but something tell's me its more for someone that's been forgotten.

Many of Beborn Betons songs are based on horror movies or have similar themes. You can apply a pretty literal meaning to the words. I see the song as being sort of like the scene in The Shining when the guy hacks through the door with an axe to get to his wife. He says he is reaching for a hatchet... seeking entry... tearing down walls to get to (her)... So I can see him singing the song holding her head or hair in his hands.
