Jail Guitar Doors Lyrics
Let me tell you 'bout Wayne and his deals of
cocaine
A little more every day
Holding for a friend till the band do well
Then the D.E.A. locked him away
Clang clang, go the jail guitar doors
Bang bang, go the boots on the floor
Cry cry, for your lonely mother's son
Clang clang, go the jail guitar doors
An' I'll tell you 'bout Pete, didn't want no fame
Gave all his money away
"Well there's something wrong, it'll be good for you, son"
And so they certified him insane
And then there's Keith, waiting for trial
Twenty-five thousand bail
If he goes down you won't hear his sound
But his friends carry on anyway
Fuck 'em!
Jail guitar doors
54/46 was my number
Jail guitar doors
Right now someone else has that number

Wayne Kramer (MC5) and Peter Green (fleetwood Mac)
You can tell that this along with I Fought the Law were recorded with the same producer as Give 'Em Enough Rope. It sounds like it could've been put on that album (which I thought was rushed).
@Baller Sorry, but no. Sandy Pearlman produced Give 'Em Enough Rope, while Bill Price produced I Fought the Law. It was not recorded during the same sessions as GEER.

I don't believe Sandy Perlman produced this. I believe Mick wrote new lyrics for this to a tune by the 101ers (Joe old group).
Also, I think Keith in the third verse refers to Keith Richards. Anyone know who the others are?
Thanks
Worth checking out Wayne Kramer's anecdote here.... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L6sq2drivfc
i cant believe no one has commented on THE BEST clash song ever. I love the way they sing it. THis song is obviously about people going to jail. Im pretty sure Wayne, Pete, and Keith are just random names.
@Bleachisthebomb As explained below: Wayne = Wayne Kramer (MC5) Peter = Peter Green (fleetwood Mac) Keith = Keith Richards
