The studio version was sung with Liz of course but the song was written before they hooked up in London. Pretty sure it was written about his ex, Rebecca Moore. Really beautiful song about love and patience. Giving someone all the time and support they need, even if they're full of doubt and being stubborn. The live version from Australia is even better imo
@yseult Why would you think it was written for Rebecca and not Liz? Everyone acts like everything was written about Rebecca. Even "Morning Theft", with the lyric "your precious daughter in the other room asleep", when Rebecca didn't even have a daughter but Liz does.
