Tension Head Lyrics

Everyday I wake up feeling this way
I take it downtown with all the action going down
Stike your match, strike your match, cook it up

[chorus:]
(My life) I'm feeling so sick
(Your life) I feel so fucking sick (My life)
(Your life) On the bathroom floor

Try to get out and get right
Hustling little girls
Cheating little boys
Yeah

Gotta get out, gotta get out and get right
Gotta get out, I gotta get out no more
No more, no more

(My life) I'm feeling so sick
(Your life) I'm feeling so sick
On the bathroom floor (My life)
I'm feeling so sick (Your life)
No more

Yeah!
(High life, low life, high life, low life, high life, low life)

(My life) I'm feeling so sick
(Your life) I feel so sick no more

"GOTTA GET OUT AND GET RIGHT"

Every time I hear Nick sing that part I'm thinking, "No no no, you should stay right where you are, buddy!"

And of course, what does he do when he leaves?

Hustles little girls and cheats little boys.

Meth is a helluva drug, kids

Cant beleave no1 has posted on here. This song is great, its also done by Mondo Generater (nicks band) but its called 13th Floor. the song is obviously about kicking (gotta get out, get right/no more) a drug habit (feeling sick/high life low life). well thats what i think.

@silver_headed_monk indeed, he probably sung this bit at the desert sesssions.

He played it live last week at his mondo generator show. Freaking awesome!

alcoholismimsy maybe? didn't he get kicked out of queens for that? and wasn't this published on 'R', released 2000. Don't know if his done h or coke, but sounds like it, as 'strike your match, cook it up'. A mate I once know injected coke. Her life was totally fucked when she was on it.

as much as i hate people who just say every songs about drugs, this one really does sound like its about meth. sick, high life, low life, all that shit.

More like Heroin: "strike your match, cook it up" When injecting meth, you never cook it up. When injecting some forms of Heroin you do...luckily I don't get the shit that you have to cook around here.

"Try to get out and get right Hustling little girls Machine little boys"

What's your opinion of this bit?

Drugs much?

but anyway, Mondo generator came out with a song called another tension head on Cocaine Rodeo the same year R came out with this song on it. I dunno if that helps anything, but i got it said.

Why does everyone think this song is about meth? It's about Heroin. See my reply to what Cubensis said above for more info.

It can be smoked too y'know. And meth is his favorite drug to sing about.

God dammit this site is full of stupid idiots that have obviously had their eardrums torn out. Machine? CHEATING. CHEATING LITTLE BOYS.

This song is probably about some sort of drug. Nick has done songs about meth on mondo generator, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if it was about meth.
