Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.
Crab if you want her
She won't be coming down
Crab if you want her
She won't be coming down
Crab if you need it
She put her kinckers on
Crab if you need it
She put her kinckers on
She said she's feeling lonely
And I say that's Ok
She won't be coming back 'round here, no way
She said she's feeling lonely
And I say that's Ok
She won't be coming back 'round here, no way
Crab at the booty
T'aint gonna do no good
Crab at the booty
T'aint gonna do no good
No, crab at the booty
T'aint gonna do no good
She won't be coming down
Crab if you want her
She won't be coming down
Crab if you need it
She put her kinckers on
Crab if you need it
She put her kinckers on
She said she's feeling lonely
And I say that's Ok
She won't be coming back 'round here, no way
She said she's feeling lonely
And I say that's Ok
She won't be coming back 'round here, no way
Crab at the booty
T'aint gonna do no good
Crab at the booty
T'aint gonna do no good
No, crab at the booty
T'aint gonna do no good

Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Van Halen
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
It sounds to me that someone's bitching and moaning that some girl wont have sex with him, and River's is like, "bitch all you want, its her decision and you're not gonna get anything."
crab="bitch and moan" Is Rivers making a song about a cocktease? Or a guy that needs to lay off?
i dunno, but this song always reminds me of crabs (the STD). crabs if you want 'em...
dahaha.. so do i. i love weezer, they're all such nerds.
sigh pinkerton was such a wonderful album... why do they feel like they have to "please the fans" and drop off of their great quality produced from pinkerton...
crab means to have a fit, so the guy wants sex, and she won't give to him, so he says the f**k with her! and i say good for him!!
good song, good album. i am tired of the constant Green bashing, it's annoying and pointless!
ive heard this beat before, especially the beginning...anyone have an idea what the orginal song was?
its 'knickers' not 'kinckers'
im pretty sure they write these types of songs because they want to...it would be stupid if they did it for anything else
