Hash Pipe Lyrics

I can't help my feelings, I'll go out of my mind
These players come to get me 'cause they'd like my behind
I can't love my business if I can't get a trick
Down on Santa Monica where tricks are for kids

Oh, come on and fuck me
Oh, come on and fuck me
Come on and fuck me
You've got your problems
I've got my ass wide
You've got your big D's
I've got my ass wide

I can't help my boogies they get out of control
I know that you don't care but I want you to know
The knee-stocking flavor is a favorite treat
Of men that don't bother with the taste of a teat

Oh, come on and fuck me
Oh, come on and fuck me
Come on and fuck me
You've got your problems
I've got my ass wide
You've got your big D's
I've got my ass wide
I've got my ass wide

Oh, come on and fuck me
Oh, come on and fuck me
Come on and fuck me
You've got your problems
I've got my ass wide
You've got your big D's
I've got my ass wide
I've got my ass wide

I've got my ass wide
I've got my ass wide

Many people think this song is about drugs. I pretty sure thats not the case. ill go through each line and say what it means to me

I can't help my feelings, I'll go out of my mind-- The person this song is about has a big problem These players come to get me 'cause they'd like my behind-- a lot of men like to fuck this person in the ass I can't love my business if I can't get a trick-- this person is a prostitute, and its hard to like being a prostitute if you cant find a trick Down on Santa Monica where tricks are for kids-- this line is very funny but sad. Santa Monica Boulivard in West Hollywood is where the male prostitutes in LA hang out. There are quite few homeless teenage prostitutes out there, most are 15-19, but ive seen boys as young as 11 selling themselves. it's not super comon to see a prostitute under 14 though. and thats why he says "where tricks are for kids" funny but sad.

Oh, come on and kick me-- the person feels down about himself? Oh, come on and kick me Come on and kick me You've got your problems I've got my ass wide-- he sure gets fucked a lot You've got your big jeans-- im not sure what that means I've got my hash pipe-- this is the only part of the song that mentions drugs. now, most prostitutes including the one this song is about, are addicted to heroin cocaine or meth. But I speak from a great deal of personal experience that its very hard to get through a job while high on coke or heroin and to a lesser extaent meth. lets just say they make things not work as well. so the person in this song uses his has pipe to get through jobs. being stoned can be a blessing when your bored.

I can't help my boogies they get out of control-- A reference to IV drug use. boogies is a regional and/or older slang for the abcesses you get when you inject drugs. I know that you don't care but I want you to know The knee-stocking flavor is a favorite treat-- knee stockings. that would seem to indicate the person this song is about is a transvestite. Of men that don't bother with the taste of a teat--

thats my interpretation, i could be totaly wrong though. maybe i just think it's about male prostitutes because i was one, but i doubt it.

@childofthesun314 Yes. I agree. The song really hits me so I didn't think about the lyrics, which I couldn't hear clearly. The prostitute story works whether the author intended that or not.

@childofthesun314

I've got my ass wide?? No. It's ... I've got my eyes wide.

Overall, not bad though.

Lots of people like to complain about this song and the Green Album. But come on now. If a band waits five years between albums, do you seriously expect the new album to sound exactly like the old ones? If you did, go ahead, go back to your fantasy world and put "Tired of Sex" or "Only in Dreams" on repeat. Enjoy. Weezer is a different band now. They were a great band in the past. That's undeniable. But they are also a great band now. Different, yes, but great. "Hash Pipe" is an outstanding pop-punkish song, as are most of the other offerings on the Green Album. My opinion on the album is that if people went into it expecting it to be what it was, as opposed to hoping and praying for old Weezer, they'd like it a lot more. They proved it way back when with "Buddy Holly"; Weezer can do this kind of music better than anybody. Nothing wrong with that.

By the way, yeah, it's about a transvestite prostitute.

the lyrics to this song are kinda screwed, but i love the music, and i like most of weezers music.

Weezer's awesome, Everyone always points out that old weezer is the good weezer.. I disagree I think all weezer is good weezer. Band's change, you can't expect them to always stay the same.

I understand the plot, a trans prostitute who is into drugs. It's the meaning that I'm failing at. I think it's a warning note to sleepy things like perversion and drugs, but I may well be too surface level.

uhhh. yeah.. Where the hell were they trying to go?

Centri Alphi is right. The only redeeming quality about the Green album is that...wait a second...never mind, forget I said that. I'm sorry but this is the beginning of the end for Weezer, they've traded any substance and strength behind their earlier work for standard rock patterns and a more "pop" feel. I don't know how the Edge could think this song is better than even the worst songs of Pinkerton and the Blue album. I will say, though, in the song's defense, it is somewhat clever to compare being an entertainer like Rivers and being a prostitute, which is what i think this song is all about.

well, it seems you called it as far as the beginning of the end for weezer.
