Wow... I can't believe nobody's commented on this. Haha, I can definitly relate to this song. Except the "rather be whackin'" part. But, yeah, I always see a guy or something that I think is cute and I'm like "whoa, I like him" but then I realize I don't know him. I think in this song Rivers is talking about little crushes that he doesn't wanna have because he knows it won't end well.

I agree, this song is easy to relate to. All about crushes based on pure sexual attraction that wont end pretty, so why even try.
I think this song is about being attracted to someone physcially. Yet, as in real situations, Rivers shows that sometimes you get so wrapped up in the physical attraction that you start attaching real emotions to the desire. Eventually, you may get with the person, but in the long run, there was never anything there, leaving you hurt. But at the time, you're focused on that attraction and dont see the potential hurt! An ode to those little superficial "relationships" that everyone seems to go through, or crushes, or what have you. You're single for a while, meet someone, want to jump their bones, but stop yourself from doing that because you foresee the consequences, and don't feel like dealing with it. So you go home and masturbate. Nothing wrong there, but it is a pain in the bum. Add in some little moral about how easy it is to lump people together, etc. Love this song.
