I agree with flyschoolequal, i like the fact not many people know Chevlle, they wont sell out that way. they are an amazing band, my second favourite next to Tool.

This is my absolute favorite song. I think it's so relaxing to listen to, although the words so sort of puzzle me. I think maybe he is talking about how the world is so emotionless and how he is starting to fall apart around someone he cares about... any thoughts?

No one has a lot to say about Chevelle, and I like it that way. I can keep them as my favorite band and no one else to share them with.. haha. Anyways, this song is really kick ass. It has great music to it, and I'm more of a word person, and for me to say the music got me before the lyrics is a pretty big deal. Chevelle is awesome, and i hope they don't get too too famous.. ;)

I agree with the Chevelle lovers about people not liking them, I don't need to see a bunch of people reducing my fave band to a damn trend. I loved Chevelle the moment I first heard them, which was a long time ago. I bought the album asap.

this is probably my favorite song from this album.. i think..its about..how we chose to live our lifes..how sociaty and the world turns around.. how manyyyyy people prefeer to ignore whats goin on..and what we can do to try to change it.. and sometimes we look up for..a good role model.. or someone who can just save us..in our own individual kinda way ..someone who can set a trail..but no one comes along..and we continue to act like if we're unaware of everything.. and sometimes...some of us...do think! and its just sad the things we get to see..and realize..and u think like "wtf its goin on with humanity???" "where da fuck are we goin anyways" ..we kill each others..we discriminate each others..we hurt and steal..we laugh at others.. and..if theres anyone here reading this..whos the kind of person who just do whatever the fuck he/she wants without thinking about the consequences and who u might hurt..then..u should start thinkin about..what u gonna do..when ure the one walkin on the broken shoes..with no lasses on 'em.. and if ure the kind of person..who makes a difference..eveyday of ur life..or at least once a week..THANK U.. cuz its cuz of a few people like u..why i wanna meet others..and why i have a bit a hope in mankind..still.. the world its safer cuz of people like that..

this is an obvious one take the chorus: "We feel towards a place, but many pay, by ignoring" The meaning behind this is that we feel a spiritual pull, like theres a great place after death, but many ignore this feeling and pay by "suffering" in the not so happy place.....

I'm with Isobel over any religious twaddle. If anything I think they're shoving back "Where is the Mother Figure?" is very unChristian. This was the first song I heard from them and they've never really been able to recapture it in the last two albums - although they're good, they lack the rawness. Get Albini involved again!
