I always thought this song was about a gig chevelle had that everyone left during the set. (You two, you're what's left, I don't take requests/But for you two, come this far, I might have something) and them talking to the club owner. (Now these two, treat them well Upon themselves, showed up again Now you sir, Give up the gig You haven't been repaid) but, whatever this song roxxxxx.

This song is kinda creepy. I love it, but I mean the LYRICS are creepy. "You two, you're what's left, I don't take requests" could have a million meanings. The last two people alive after the world was destroyed? Who knows.

What an awesome song... but of course I will go ahead and say that about every other Chevelle song.. but that's alright right?? In my own perception, I would guess this song is about a guy who is in a relationship with this chick, who leaves for a relationship with someone else. (Remember it's all about perception!!) I hear a lot of sarcasm in the song, like "Now these two, treat them well, upon themselves, showed up again" Like they took it upon themselves to get where they are know and they should definately be admired for that (*'s are for the sarcasm hehe) Yeah it's a creepy song, but I love how this band leaves a lot for your own imagination, not too much detail, they just like to paint you a foggy picture that's really out of focus. and let you find the beauty in it.

I had also heard the one about the empty gig... I'm 99% certain that's what they wrote it about... On a side note, this is definitely my favorite Chevelle song.

yep one of their first gigs....had everything that could possibly go wrong happen...went to the wrong place first then showed up to the real place and there were just 2 people there...anyways great song

i dont know about that first gig deal.....its understandable but i dont know if thats what he's singing about considering every other song has something to do with relationships or the Man Above

this song rox, you kinda have to respect chevelle or its just some cheesy emo song. i like the way it starts off slow and turns into . just like stairway to heaven and freebird and all other well known songs

yeah its about a gig
