Prove To You Lyrics

I'll fight your war
Promise not to lose
But you give in to circumstance
Not gonna prove to you
Learn of patience worth to you
Many teacher, no student
We go by name, not by rank
Too many gighs incompetent
There's no bond between some men
A concept already known
What little time you try to give
A big cheer for you alone
Relax and try
Broke off, broke up and spent
He's choking in left field
Can't tell this place is doomed
Now no place like home
Doomed Now
There's no place like home
I'm gonna prove to you

This is my fave. Chevelle song because there's so much anger behind it... it has such a well expressed feeling of mistrust and loss in it...

Yes, this song is incredibly powerful live. (as vache and i can attest too) WE got to meet them and Fool, they're the illest. Incredibly nice, humble guys. I wish them great luck with "wonder what's next" when it hits store shelves.

Just started listening to this band, heard them on Pandora.com (great place to find new music by the way). Noticed that in some of their songs you can hear a MAJOR Tool influence. That's not a bad thing, infact it's a damn good thing. Amazing Band, great song, I must say though, the opening instrumental (Open) from this album is fantastic!

I'd have to agree with you MaverickX. I never listened to this album before, and I was very surprised to listen to Prove To You and hear the exact same song that I downloaded a few months ago titled "Prove It" by Tool. I found that song along with other unreleased tracks. I loved "Prove It" and I actually thought it was Maynard. This song and many others are definately influenced by Tool.
