In The Garage Lyrics

I've got the dungeon Master's Guide
I've got a 12-sided die
I've got Kitty Pryde
and Nightcrawler too
Waiting there for me
yes I do, I do
I've got posters on the wall
My favorite rock group KISS
I've got Ace Frehley
I've got Peter Criss
Waiting there for me
Yes I do, I do

In the garage
I feel safe
No one cares about my ways
In the garage
Where I belong
No one hears me sing this song
In the garage

I've got an electric guitar
I play my stupid songs
I write these stupid words
and I love every one
Waiting there for me
Yes I do, I do

In the garage
I feel safe
No one cares about my ways
In the garage
Where I belong
No one hears me sing this song
In the garage
In the garage

In the garage
I feel safe
No one cares about my ways
In the garage
Where I belong
No one hears me sing this song
In the garage
I feel safe
No one laughs about my ways
In the garage
Where I belong
No one hears me
No one hears me
No one hears me
No one hears me
No one hears me sing this song

Yeah this is kinda a geek anthem but its also kinda about his haven, his one place he can be himself. Everyone has them, mine is the auditorium at my school, on the stage. It is a truly great song because it captures growing up and being a kid who doesn't always fit in with the world around him. The Blue Album has to be their greatest album.

oh oh, i love this song. heehee. because it applies to me, if you change "KISS" to "weezer" and ace frehely to "rivers cuomo" and peter criss to "brian and mikey and pat". heeheehee. and also it was super rock how rivers said "time for some old-school" at the concert. heehee. yes yes.

it's "I write these stupid words"! Geez sweets..the damn lyrics are right there. This is an incredible song in the influx of Weezer goodness. How can anyone not sing along whole-heartedly and grove with the vibe of such careless rock!?! The music of weezer is gifted in the art of making people, especially fans, feel just so damn good. =w=

Rivers said about In The Garage & Holiday: "Written in a sudden burst of confidence and optimism right after we got a record deal. Those positive emotions have since dissipated - along with our cash advances - but I still like the songs." I'm sure we all like the songs too.

Yeah... this song is the garage band nerds anthem. I'm in a band and I'm also a nerd. I've played D&D before and, gawd, I can relate to this so so well... except it was never KISS on my walls... always Weezer... and Saves the Day, and the Strokes, the Ramones, the Clash... ok, I'll shut up now.

I want to say this is a metaphor reflecting upon closing ourselves off from the rest of the world, for whatever reason, but I get this feeling it's not metaphorical. It's quite literal. Oh well, I can relate to the song the way I want, too. One of the best Weezer songs...

just about where rivers likes to get away from it all. could go deeper and say its how he only feels secure on his own, but i think its meant to be taken in the simple way. happy

I absolutely love this song. Its all about being yourself in a sanctuary. You can do whatever you want, and it is just right. Even if others would think it was stupid, its where you belong and you can do what feels right. Just jamming around by yourself is the best thing in the world, and no one can take that away from you. This is my favorite weezer song because everyone needs a place to get away.
