I Have The Moon Lyrics

We have walked in ancient times,
And we've been burnt for many crimes,
We have envied many lives,
But we never eally died,
You have the sun I have the moon.

You have to fly around the world all day,
To keep the sun upon your face,
I'd like to come and comfort you,
But i'd be blind if I were blue,
You have the sun I have the moon.

You've come to die under the sun,
And i'll be doomed to carry on,
You have become like other men,
But yet you kiss me once again,
You have the sun I have the moon.

IIRC this is a cover by Magnetic Fields. There it says the line "But I'd be blind if I were blue" as "But I'd be blinded by the blue." Also the line "But we never eally died" is "But we never really died." Well, the song supposedly is about someone the singer knew that died, but I'm not sure who.

It seems pretty obviously addressed to someone who has passed on. A great, lesser-known song by a band that went away all too soon.
