Pictures He Drew Lyrics
He got up this morning
Rolled out of bed
And went out to change the world
Her head on his shoulder
He settles her down
It all started over and over again
His mom made him breakfast
He gets on the bus goes out to see the world
He lies on the ground, wipes blood from his nose
Wonders why he's the one that doesn't fit In
(chorus)
The pictures he drew
But if only they told him
You're never gonna be like anyone
And that's okay
Give into your feelings
Don't give in to the ones that will own ya
Sometimes they just don't go away
Six double martinis, a night on the town
It sure makes the mornings long
He never imagined a lifetime like this would be
The only thing to let him get in
(chorus)
The pictures he drew
But if only they told him
You're never gonna be like anyone
And that's okay
Give into your feelings
Don't give in to the ones that will own ya
Sometimes they just don't go away
Break down:
He gets up
He falls down
Wishes he could get the nerve to end it all now
He picks up the phone
And he slams it down
And swallows another
Now he'll never come around
It's all or none
It's one for one
You can make it
But ya' gotta do it all for yourself
Get into
(chorus)
The pictures he drew
But if only they told him
You're never gonna be like anyone
And that's okay
Give into your feelings
Don't give in to the ones that will own ya
Sometimes they just don't go away

hey, just confirming the guy in the song commited suicide by overdose?
That's funny... Yes he did. I don't know why everyone else said it was really beautiful..

@rebelwithalostcause Jaret acually talks about this song on one of the BFS podcats (Fan Page Rampage Episode 1). He says it's not about suicide; it's about his brother, his brother's ex-wife, and his brother's toxic relationship with her. "Swallowing another" is a drink to get blackout drunk, not pills. "Double martinis" apparently was just to make the lyrics fit the song; his brother was a beer drinker.

this song is so beautiful, just be yourself, dont try to fit in, dont let it worry you
Yeah...this is a really cool song
this song rules..good message for some people
I just heard this song for the first time. Really good. To me it's about how people pressure you to fit in, but it won't give you happiness. Just be yourself, because that's who you are.
