Monday Lyrics

Monday, a day like no other
Monday, was their last day
Some say, life is a struggle
Some say, life should be easy

One day, in a peaceful village
School day, in working DUNBLANE
ONE man, could change their whole world
One man, is all it took for...

No school today, it's just a memory
ONE MIND GONE WRONG???

I don't wanna play on Monday
I don't wanna play on Monday
Pinned to my memory, not just another Monday
It seems like such a lie

Change of plans on a rainy day
A new lesson to be learnt today
Pack up your guns and your soldiers too
Because one sick mind depends on YOU...

Playin' quietly, along came destiny, I don't wanna play...

That just seems too happy for what I think the song is about. :)

i have such a brilliant video concept of this song, even though it doesn't really have to do with the meaning of the song. it would be the singer walking through city, town, village whatever, singing to the camera, and picking up random things and making random twists and turns into alleys and stairs and rooftops, buildings schools etc. occasional shots of the band playing. other angles of him going through town, shots of the people in the town and what they are doing. and when the chorus hits, all the people that are around him will break out into a broadway, singing in the rain type dance(also like the new tropicana orange juice commercial too.) i haven't really thought about some other things to do.

I agree with SockMonkeyRiot. This song is no laughing matter. The song about that psycho social worker in Dublane who massacred 16 elementary schoolers and their teacher in the gym of their school. I remember when it happened, I remember seeing it on the news. It made me sick to my stomach. It still does. For some reason that doesn't really inspire thoughts of merriment and dancing in my mind. By the way, if anyone wants to check my source, I got that info. from their official website, www.thelivingend.com. Go to discographies, choose the self-titled album, then choose this song. It will give the lyrics and then the background information. There isn't much more than I've already told you, but I just didn't want anyone to think I was passing around some stupid rumor. Cheers.

great song, and although it IS about a school shooting the songs sounds kind of upbeat, which, in my opinion, was kind of an error for the band. if they had made it a little more sullen and less poppy, i think it would have made the impact of the lyrics meaning, its still a great song.

it is about a terrible thing, but why make it sound like a terrible thing, and feel like a terrible thing? maybe that was their whole point... maybe they're saying that it could sickly end, so you should just be happy and live life to it's fullest until it happens, or something.

I think this is a powerful song. Great vocal performance, great lyrics. I think the music suits the song perfectly.
