The Black Crow Lyrics

through sparrow black wind
a dead crow calls out to his wing
we were lightning across the whole world
we were lightning(x3)
and the guise to black cats we made a cross when our shadows met
and the guise to black cats we made a pact when our shadows passed
through sparrow black wind
a dead crow calls out to its wings
I'm getting weaker I'm getting thin
I hate how obvious I have been
I'm getting weaker(x4)
and I look down and see the whole world
and it's fading(repeat)

Maybe its just me (isn't always ;)) but I think this song's describing the/a descent into depression.
the dead crow crying out for his wings: it's a gorgeously sad image. I love his voice in this, it's mixed really well too. the song is perfect, like so many of his.

This song is very strong, gorgeous and meaningful. The words go really well with the music. I love the crescendo.

I cannot even tell whether "We were lightning" is the most beautiful description ever or if it is mediocre, and it is the song itself that makes it hurt in such a lovely way.
