Everything I Touch Lyrics
The more I feel
The more I die
Nothing to give
Nothing inside
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
I scratch and tear
Until it bleeds
I do not want
I only need
I only need
I only need
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
The more I die
Nothing to give
Nothing inside
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
Until it bleeds
I do not want
I only need
I only need
I only need
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break
Everything I touch I break

I agree and I am suprised there was not any more comments. I love this song.
Great song. To me, it's about fucking up all of your relationships but you need someone. Your insecurities destroy it.
And I can relate.
I once was (for lack of a better word that escapes me at the moment) courted by a man named Bob. He couldn't understand why I wouldn't date him even though he was bringing me gifts (which I'd return); calling; stopping over; offering to take me grocery shopping so I didn't have to walk; etc. Bob was a nice guy who would ask me many times daily if I thought he looked OK; if I thought he were funny enough and handsome enough; etc. I spent more time reassuring him than actually conversing with him. When he finally took the hint that I was not ever going to be interested romantically, he got angry with me and yelled that I had led him on when I joked at work that "I need a man." He eventually forgave me and we remained friends during my college years, but the song made me think of Bob. I've tried to locate him online to see how he is (all he ever wanted was to have a girlfriend), but I've been unsuccessful. Anyway....sorry. Your post and the song brought his memory to the forefront.
a great way to start the album. It has a lot of cliche connotation in it but the music sounds great.
I think this is another song about depression, and about how it cripples you. When you are depressed, you feel like nothing can go right.
the old expression "Misery loves company" explains the "I wanna break you" line.
I agree. And it's a good song...very simple yet poignant.

think about it, he says "Everything I touch, I wanna break you... I wanna break you down"
That also means he wants to "touch" this person...think about it.
Kinda an obvious meaning...
It's the opposite of the Midas touch..
