American Psycho Lyrics
What’s the problem with the human race?
No matter where I turn I can’t escape the double face
Don’t want to listen to the radio
Or stick around just to hear "I told you so"
How could we make it without you?
I should've known better to doubt you
I thought I heard the end of it
And now I know how far you'd go
To be the next freak show
American Psycho
Cover of the magazines, patron saint to troubled teens
Wish I’d never heard your name
Tomorrow could be just another day
A misdemeanor or a felony, that's ok
Don't wanna wait for a second chance
It’s your turn for the spotlight, the big dance
How could we make it without you?
I should've known better to doubt you
I thought I heard the end of it
And now I know how far you'd go
To be the next freak show
American Psycho
Cover of the magazines, patron saint to troubled teens
Wish I’d never heard your name
And they all wanna know
But I already know
What am I supposed to do
When you know that it’s all true
That you stole, that you lied, that you knew
Primadonna, self absorbed
Wide awake and never bored
Party, binge and purge, and see
Results of plastic surgery
Spotted at the hottest shows
Interview on Charlie Rose
They all want a piece of you
And now I know how far you;d go
To be the next freak show
American Psycho
Cover of the magazines, patron saint to troubled teens
Wish I never heard your name
And they all wanna know
How far you had to go
And I already know
How far you had to go!
No matter where I turn I can’t escape the double face
Don’t want to listen to the radio
Or stick around just to hear "I told you so"

I'd heard this song as a kid and always wanted to know who it was by, but never managed to find out until a few days ago. I was too stupid to google search the lyrics apparently.
Even back in the day, I viewed it as having a friend that was getting famous. The narrator misses their old friend, but they've long since sold out, changed entirely, gotten a total personality makeover, and the narrator is disgusted with this.
I think that, in a way, this song represents the lack of depth in media today.
Treble Charger, please come back!
i
Its talkin about this kids friend that is becoming famous
I LOVE THIS SONG! "Now I know how far you go To be the next freak show American Psycho Cover of the magazines, patron saint for troubled teens Wish I’d never heard your name" I LOVE IT TOO THE MOON AND BACK.
I remember this was the first song I heard in my first moshpit...and I would do it all over again =) TC rocks...but I think their new album might be a little disappointment to me...I'll just have to check it out.
it reminds me of avril..well the chorus
The lyrics here are wrong. In the second line, it's "double face" not "double bass" and the last three lines in the second chorus are the same as the last three lines in the first chorus.
Yes thelyrics are incorrect but 'There’s something funny about you I should've known better to doubt you And not "I'd heard the end of it".' Does appear in the live versions of American Psycho.
This song is about celebrities and how cool they think they are. Or so I heard.
I think this song is about doing anything it takes to become popular, and becoming the new "it" person.
Primadonna, self absorbed Wide awake and never bored Party binge, emergency results of plastic surgery Spotted at the hottest shows Interview on Jonny Ro They all want a piece of you
Now I know how far you go To be the next freak show American Psycho Cover of the magazines, patron saint for troubled teens Wish I never knew your name
basically someone who is the next"it" thing, and you cant not hear about
Woah those lyrics are horribly wrong.
Awesome song though, it's about a regular person selling out and becoming "Cover of the magazines, patron saint for troubled teens"....
