Planetary Lyrics
The skyline is two gazes long.
and I crane my neck
to take it all in
the skyline is two gazes long.
and I bump my head
against the windshield,
And I can see you (I don't know what direction that is)
the skyline is two gazes long.
and I bump my head
against the windshield,
And I can see you craning
and I can see you craning
Momentum makes my head
ponderous and heavy,
planetary rotation
is time winding down?
Momentum makes my head
ponderous and heavy.
planetary rotation
Is time winding down.
Is time winding down
the light
from our bodies
precedes us. (Is time winding down?)
and I can see you (I can see you) craning your neck
I can see you (I can see you) craning your neck
I want to go to faraway places
I want to go to faraway places
I want to go to faraway places
I want to go to faraway places
But momentum makes my head
ponderous and heavy,
planetary rotation
is time winding down?
Momentum makes my head
ponderous and heavy.
planetary rotation
Is time winding down.
is time winding down?

to take it all in
and I bump my head
against the windshield,

ponderous and heavy,

I love this song.
this song is very beautiful.
(sigh)
hands down, the best rainer maria song. "i want to go to faraway places" is my life quote.
I love this song.
I sometimes get sudden revelations that this song is about fireworks, which I immediately forget but am left with a sure feeling that everything is right and, frankly, it's okay.
i could be wrong on this but i can take a shot. this band started out in Wisconsin and played to small clubs and basements (i saw them twice in those days). they got big and eventually went major and moved to NY. if you look at the lyrics they are referring to the first time they are seeing a big city and taking it all in
care to chat more about this band and early 90s emo, drop me a line. i love this stuff!
